Flight training is one of the most rewarding investments you can make in yourself. With Carneros Aviation, you’ll be soaring over Sonoma and working towards your Private license from day one.

We work hard to provide the best student experience possible. Every student receives the highest levels of individual attention throughout the training process. Our curriculum is regularly updated, and supplemented by supporting materials from the most trusted names in flight training.

We offer our private pilot training course in three stages, at a flat rate payable in three affordable installments of $4,300. You won’t have to guess how much your flying will cost each month, or get hit with high bills for longer lessons.

This is the beginning of your road to a private pilot license. You’ll start your training in our Cessna 172 to master basic manuevers, takeoffs and landings. At the end of this stage, you’ll be flying the airplane solo!

Stage 1 Includes

Instruction

      • 20 hours of flight time, including dual (with an instructor) and solo flights

Payment 1: $4,300

During this stage of flight training, you will concentrate on fulfilling the requirements for a Private Pilot License. Specific maneuvers, flight planning, longer flights, and weather knowledge are all included in this stage.

Stage 2 Includes

Instruction

  • 25 total hours of flight time
  • Flight instruction
        • Citabria to Cessna transition
        • Cross country flight training
        • Night flying training
        • Instrument training
  • All related ground instruction
  • At least 5 hours solo flight time

Payment 2: $4,300

This final stage of private pilot training involves sharpening skills, building confidence, and preparing for your Checkride with an FAA Examiner.
